Admission Policy
K P Asati Public School is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary
Education (CBSE) and follows a secular, inclusive, and progressive approach to
education. We aim to nurture students who uphold the values embedded in our
mission statement.
General Principles
-
Admissions are open to all, regardless of caste, creed, religion, gender, or
socio-economic background, as per CBSE norms.
-
The school is co-educational and ensures gender balance with at least
40% representation of each gender in every section.
-
All admissions shall strictly comply with CBSE's policy on age
appropriateness, capacity, and transparency.
Admission Procedure
Admissions are available for Classes Play House, Nursery, LKG, UKG to
Class X. Each class section will be limited to a maximum of 30 students, in
accordance with the recommended pupil-teacher ratio.
Steps:
1. Registration:
Parents must complete a Registration Form (available online or at the
school office). If downloaded, the form must be submitted with a Demand
Draft (DD) of the prescribed amount.
Note: Registration does not guarantee admission.
2. Document Submission:
- Birth Certificate (attested copy)
- Aadhar Card of the child (if available)
- Previous class report card (if applicable)
- Transfer Certificate (for Classes II and above)
- 2 recent passport-sized photographs
3. Verification and Interaction:
-
For Pre-Primary: Informal interaction with the child and parents to
assess readiness.
-
For Primary and above: Interaction and basic assessment (not
entrance exam), only to understand academic level – in line with
CBSE's emphasis on non-discriminatory practices.
4. Merit and Availability-Based Admission:
A merit list is prepared based on interaction, registration order, and seat
availability. A formal offer letter is issued accordingly.
For Pre-Primary Admissions
-
Interaction with the Head of Pre-Primary is mandatory for child and
parents.
-
Assessment focuses on developmental milestones, language, social
behavior, and parental involvement.
-
If selected, admission is confirmed with a formal letter.
Rules and Seat Matrix
-
Each class will have 3 sections (maximum 30 students each).
-
Gender balance is maintained with minimum 12 boys and 12 girls in
each section.
-
Admissions close by June 30 every year.

-
Registrations are open year-round.
-
For ongoing admissions, registration closes 24 hours before the
scheduled interaction.
